LOCAL TO GLOBAL
How
can taking out the trash,
being kind to a classmate,
and studying hard for a quiz,
feed, clothe, educate and protect
hundreds of orphans in Darfur, Sudan?
The CIS program
teaches students, through age appropriate opportunities,
to take a local action that has a global impact
in the lives of orphans in Darfur, Sudan.
Students are
encouraged to put their Character In Service (CIS) in
their home, school and local community; iin return, they
receive Character Merits. These Character
Merits represent the global impact that the
students' local action has on the children in Darfur,
Sudan.
This global
impact is made possible through the school's sponsor.
A leader of strong character in the our community
will choose to encourage local students by donating to
the children in Sudan in honor of the local school students'
hard work to earn Character Merits. Therefore,
our students see how their local action has a global impact.
